Images From Nicaragua

I had to screw around a little bit. In the rain Forest, the things growing there were amazing!

My tee-shirt has the logo of another group I am part of that is building a school in Jamaica. You'll hear more about that soon!

One of the kitchens at a restaurant we ate at. All they served was beans and rice. The cook looks thrilled doesn't she?

People wonder why I lost some weight on this trip

I loved this road sign!

A boy and his young brother at their home.

The roads are in terrible shape. Mostly rock but very muddy when it rains.

Our first few days had some rain from Tropical storm Agatha. These are roads going up a mountain to some rural communites we visited. The 12 miles took us almost 90 minutes to travel with the water and mud.

The people were always happy to see us and told us over and over "thank you for your help".

One of the families we visited.

Some friends I made at Church one morning.

Looking into a volcano.

She was so cute, I had to take her picture.

This little girl wouldn't take off her mask until I gave her some candy.

Me passing out some candy I brought at one of the schools. This was a real treat for them since they hardly ever get candy.

The school where we met with the people of one of the communities we visited.
