HELP US BUILD A TILAPIA FARM

Dear Friend,

Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Deacon Kevin Carges and I am a Deacon with the Catholic Diocese of Rochester, New York.

With the help of others, I’ve created Deacon Kevin’s Circle of Friends. We have two goals: to raise funds for our brothers and sisters in Third World countries and to increase awareness of their living conditions.

I’ve visited some of these countries and seen these squalid conditions with my own eyes. The people I met and the villages I visited made such a lasting impression on me that I felt I must do something to help. I can’t do it alone.

Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world. Haitians are literally starving to death each day. Our goal is to establish a fish farm that will produce 450 pounds of tilapia fish each month—enough to feed hundreds of children and adults. It will also allow them to have a commodity to sell and generate an income from, thus enabling them to benefit in other ways. It can be run by Haitians, enabling them to become more self-sufficient. Other tilapia fish farms exist in Haiti and Jamaica and they provide an ideal model for us. More are needed.

We need to raise $8,700 per village to build these fish farms and we need to do it as soon as possible. Please consider making a contribution today by clicking here or the button at the top of the page. The source code to make sure the money goes to our project specifically is #63685.

I feel a sense of urgency because I know the desperate conditions that exist.  Please make a donation…gifts of all sizes are appreciated.

Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to reporting back to you how our farm made a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters.

God Bless,

Deacon Kevin

P.S.  Deacon Kevin’s Circle of Friends will not benefit at all from your gift. I have identified the most efficient and effective charities that assist Third World countries. For the Haitian project, the organization “Food for the Poor” has been selected as our conduit. This will ensure that more than 96 percent of your donation goes to this project. Please do not make any checks out to me…they should be made out to “Food for the Poor.” We are only a channel for you to give through, not to. Your gift will be fully tax-deductible.
